- From the Ground Up? Capella Kincheloe Interior Design guides clients through the beginning processes of building and designing a house and working with contractors and architects. Being the project manager is our job, we make sure that all aspects of the design/build are cohesive with the overall design vision. Selection of flooring, hardware, plumbing, lighting, and other hard finishes are completed at this stage.
- Already built? In addition to the early processes of building house, CKID develops a design plan to fit clients' tastes and budget. Services include furniture plans, selection and purchasing of all soft finishes, window treatments, rugs, art, furnishings, paint and wallpaper, accessories, lighting, linens and more.

A Note about Pricing
We know when you hire a designer you want to know in the beginning what you will be charged. We are committed to being completely transparent about pricing with clients.
Why we don't charge by the hour-
Time is important and it shouldn't be spent being counted and tracked. We work on several projects in various stages at any one time. The fee and markup replaces the need for an hourly rate.
- We charge a one-time design fee depending on the space, scope and work required, typically 5-10% of project budget. This fee covers all preliminary design concepts, consultation, floor plans, and research.
- In addition to the design fee, we charge an industry-standard designer markup of 25% of each sale. Designer trade pricing is passed onto the client. The markup covers all logistics, sourcing, planning, organizing, and care for that purchase.
